Loving this book, though I still cannot figure out the PURPOSE of Celeste. I mean, I'm trying, but what??
Though, I think I need Rachel to meet that one dude whose eyes flashed from "twilight to cold, steel gray" in the Ashley Weaver safecracker books... they could clearly have dramatic eye babies together.
With her appearance just before a party commemorating a Tragic Anniversary and so on, I'm sure she'll figure in, LOL, but so far, she is SUCH. A. DRIP. I *do* have a theory, but it's a bit of a leap... but '80s horror generally embraces bonkers plot twists, so it might not be as much as a stretch as I'm thinking it is???
