Hi, friends,
I hope you’ve all been well.
Life over here has been somewhat tough the last couple of weeks, hence the radio silence. I think we’re pulling out of it now—long story short, Lemon had a terrible reaction to a thyroid medication and it was awful. Awful to the point of her feeling so bad that she did the Classic Cat thing of disappearing into the furthest reaches of the house to be miserable alone, which meant that Josh had to worm his way into the serial killer crawlspace in the eaves in order to pull her out so that we could bring her back to the vet. It was one of those situations where we really didn’t know if she was going to be alive when we found her.
Oof. Pets. I don’t know how our hearts take it.
It’s been about a week since our vet switched up her meds, and it seems like she’s pretty much back to normal. Or, well… Lemon-normal.
Suffice to say, I haven’t had the heart or brain space to do much reading or movie-watching, and I’ve been almost entirely self-soothing with Minecraft. We all have different ways of calming ourselves, and apparently digging endless stairs down into the digital ground is mine.
The following is a list of the media I *did* ingest.

Well, that is a lot of podcasts—I guess I did a decent amount of walking to self-sooth as well? I know I logged over twenty miles last week just listening to Dungeons and Daddies ALONE. Here’s hoping for clearer skies in the week to come.
Talk soon,
Leila
Oh, good old Cyndi Lauper. Man, those were the days, when she just blithely hopped over from being herself in music to being herself in movies.
Meanwhile, I CLEARLY need to look up what Dungeons & Daddies is all about!!!!!!
